1. Here is a film outtake from my Spring 12 shoot with Raven Denim. I shot this on one of my favorite cameras, the Nikon L35AF. This mass produced camera was the first autofocus point and shoot ever made. It was such a blast working that day back in August. We had a expensive location, three models, two amazing assistants, makeup, stylists the whole nine yards. It was the kind of shoot that photographers dream about. Especially shooting the great Melinda Rader, seen here. I look forward to our fall shoot coming up on my birthday Jan 15th, is there a better way to spend your birthday? I don’t think so. The rollerskating party will just have to be postponed.

  2. The Wrong Words, Photographed at Permanent Records in Eagle Rock. I had the great fortune to meet these guys right after their in store show. It was a great time, beer on tap and lots of people. However, my reason for going was not to shoot these guy but rather to shoot Permanent Records owners, Liz Tooley and Lance Barresi for the Chicago Reader. check out the article here

  3. This is another typical day in this innocent girls life, yet for me was the most untypical day imaginable. It started out with renting Motorbikes and driving out to the Mi Son ancient ruins about an hour outside of where we were staying. On our drive we saw a wedding, funeral, terrible motor bike accident, and a local family tried to sell me one of their 10 year old daughters. Now I’m not saying that this has anything to do with this picture, but there is something so sensitive and innocent about this girl. It leads me to wonder if my motivation to stop and capture this image had anything to do with my day experience.
